Hailing originally from a small island off the coast of Massachusetts, Alex moved to Portland in the mid-2000s and immediately fell in love with the lifestyle, people, and food culture of the PNW. After completing her BS in Organismal Biology, she envisioned entering the medical field and spent time working in biology research. However, having worked in hospitality throughout most of her college career, she found herself drawn away from healthcare and toward understanding the business and financial underpinnings of the industry she loved.

Applying a methodology of curiosity and data analysis that she carries over from her time in research, Alex has found her stride helping restaurants, breweries, and other hospitality-centered businesses become curious and drive their decision-making from a strong base of data. She loves the small business space and the opportunity to teach and inspire curiosity about the how and why behind the numbers!
